12 MILLION REASONS
12 million animals are used annually in experiments in Europe. That is 12 million reasons why we ask you to support this campaign. The current revision of the animal experimentation legislation is proving to be hugely controversial, despite the absence of a real debate involving the public and the lack of interest shown by the majority of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). The negotiations are currently in the crucial final stage, and things are not looking good for animals in laboratories across Europe. We urgently need your help! Please contact your MEP now. The revision process involves the European Commission (which publishes the original proposals for a revised legislation), the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers which negotiate a common position which will then become the revised legislation.
